March 9, 2010 – Taking advantage of the ongoing agreement with Indiana University Bloomington (IUB) and beamline 4.2.2 at the Advanced Light Source (ALS) at Lawrence Berkeley National Labs in Berkeley, California, Soca screens crystals remotely from a computer in the lab for the first time. IUB is part of the Moleular Biology Consortium at ALS 4.2.2, which allows routine access for local or remote data collection.
